From Yangon to Ngapali took me two days.I did Ngapali to Mrauk-u and on to Bagan, From Ngapali to Mrauk-U takes about 16 hours by car during the dry season, very bad and dusty road.Impossible to do during rainy season. You need a permit. Most of the bridges are broken.You are not allowed to stay overnight in one of the places between Mrauk-U and Ngapali. From Mrauk-U to Bagan is 2 full days of driving by daylight. I could stay overnight in Magway after a lot of bureaucracy. The costs of this I am not able to tell you as this route was a small part of a larger trip.
