In Yangon from dec 31 2011 until jan 4 2012 a film festival was held called the art of freedom. A charasteristic of the festival was that it showed movies before a board of censors had seen the movies and had given approval.Rewards for the best film-directors were given by ASSK and Zarganar, a comedian just out of prison.
